Shared Landscapes
During breaks from their stays in Paris and after returning to Spain for good, both painters were captivated by the landscape of Catalonia. The angle of vision and perspective of many works they executed while travelling around the region attest to their espousal of modern painting and shift away from nineteenth-century realism.
