El Greco was not sufficiently appreciated during the 19th century. It was the modern artists who reinstated and newly appreciated him, among them Santiago Rusiñol, who made El Greco a reference for Modernism and looked to him as a source of inspiration.
For two days, the museum’s artistic director (@lourdesmoreno_m) shares Santiago Rusiñol’s vision of the oeuvre of El Greco through Twitter, in the form of a dialogue in which users can take part.
