The invention of photography in the 19th century contributed new languages to the visual representation of the world through art.

Summer holidays became one of the principal subjects of domestic photography, which was initially only accessible to the specialist media but which subsequently reached all sectors of society. 

The photos that we take these days are the continuation of this genre, which clearly forms a part of our everyday lives.

At the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga we would like you to share your best photos of the summer with us. Take part in our competition “The best summer of your life” on Faceback and win a Friend’s Card valid for one year, the catalogue of the exhibition Summer Days and a selection of items from the Museum’s shop.

Only one photo is permitted per entrant. The ten images that obtain the most votes from users will be assessed by a jury, which will decide on the winner.

A Friend’s Card valid for one year Plus, a catalogue of the exhibition Summer Days. From Sorolla to Hopper and items relating to the exhibition from the Museum’s shop.
