Museo Carmen Thyssen

In conjunction with Carnival 2014, the Museo Carmen Thyssen is organising a programme of guided tours, which will take place between 18 and 22 February at 6pm.

This programme is one of a range of activities and initiatives to be offered in the Thyssen Zone during Carnival.

A group of works from the Permanent Collection referring to Carnival have been specially selected. Specialists on the collection will introduce visitors to aspects of this festival, its iconography, origins in the 19th century in the case of Malaga and its evolution up to the present day. Works by Raimundo de Madrazo and García Ramos, among others, will act as reference points for these tours, which will aim to introduce Carnival from the viewpoint of the Museum’s collection during this special time of year.
