Monographic course 'In search of Paradise. A History of idyllic Landscape'. Lecture: 'Paul Gauguin, Voyage to the Edge of the World'

In conjunction with the temporary exhibition Paradises and Landscapes in the Carmen Thyssen Collection. From Brueghel to Gauguin, which presents a survey of landscape painting from the 17th to the mid-19th centuries through major works in the Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, the Museum has organised a monographic course with the aim of achieving an in-depth focus on the depiction of nature, frequently of an idyllic, picturesque or naturalistic type or as a vehicle for visual innovation.
